1. Who We Are

Deertrack Village, LLC ("Deertrack Village," "we," "us," or "our") operates a year-round cabin rental community in Marquette, Michigan. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the personal information of our tenants, applicants, and website visitors, including information related to our SMS/text messaging program.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including your name, the cabin you rent, your mailing address, your email address, and your mobile phone number. We also collect work-trade hours you submit and records of messages exchanged with us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to manage your tenancy, track and credit work-trade hours toward rent, send you account notifications and work-trade hours updates, respond to your requests, and operate and improve our services.

4. SMS / Text Messaging

When you opt in to our SMS program, you agree to receive work-trade hours updates and account notifications from Deertrack Village at the mobile number you provide. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or reply HELP for assistance. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of renting from us or of any purchase.

Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign.

We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate (such as our SMS platform and spreadsheet/hosting providers), or when required by law. Any sharing of SMS opt-in or consent data is limited to delivering the messaging service you signed up for, as described in Section 4.

6. Data Retention & Security

We retain your information for as long as needed to manage your tenancy and meet legal obligations, and we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it.

7. Your Choices

You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may request access to or deletion of your information by contacting us using the details below.

8. Google Account Sign-In & Google Drive

Deertrack management signs in to our private management dashboard with a Google account. When they do, Google tells us the account’s email address and basic profile (name and profile picture). We use that solely to confirm the account appears on our short list of authorized managers, and we store the email address in a signed session cookie so the dashboard can show who is signed in. We do not receive or request access to Google account mail, contacts, calendars, or documents, and we do not use this information for advertising or share it with anyone.

The dashboard can also store cabin maintenance photographs in a Google Drive folder belonging to Deertrack management. This uses Google’s drive.file permission, which is limited to files the application itself creates — it cannot see, read, or modify anything else in that Google Drive. Photographs are stored in per-cabin folders and remain the property of the account owner.

Deertrack’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can review or revoke this access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
